We were able to enjoy our first taste of Fall Winter this weekend in Taos, New Mexico.  We were hoping to enjoy lazy afternoons swinging in the hammock out side of our cabin and taking long hikes in the woods.  We were instead surprised to have 6 inches of snow fall on us!  The locals say this has not happened so early in a very, very long time.  Bound and determined to not let this damper our spirits, we set off to find snow boots and we had that hike we planned for.  It was actually a very enjoyable hike and weekend at that.

We were able to play many board games, which is something our family loves to do.

We discovered a lovely toystore and play area for children called Twirl.  They offer free creative classes for children and the playspace is also free to enjoy.

The children were able to participate in one of their offered art classes.

They even have an upstairs playroom were one can try out quite a few of the items they sell in their store.

We spent two days visiting Twirl and I was able to knock out my Christmas shopping!  It is so refreshing to find a store that values good, quality toys.

I was able to visit and tour a lovely Waldorf school in their town.  I left feeling so inspired, but yet satisfied in seeing my vision for starting a school is right on track with one already up and running.

The children were just perfect and we were all able to enjoy being in the moment of an unhurried and relaxing weekend.
Oh, how refreshing this trip was.
