My children are no strangers to playing grocery store, toy store and even setting up a pretend garage sell.  However, we have never set up a store like the one I found here at this amazing site.  On her site, she talks about how to foster early literacy skills by adding signs, coupons and labeling products.

We all had so much fun preparing for and shopping at our store.  We even set up a cafe where we ordered and ate real food for our snack!

I found the children were also able to practice their sorting skills.

Ethan was able to work on his subtraction skills with the coupons we made.

What a happy day this was.  We have left this up for the preschool children to find.  They are going to love it!

Happy shopping!
